PRESS ROOM

EmergencyRV was born from a simple question a six year old girl asked her father while watching the Camp Fire devastate Paradise California on television in 2018: "Why aren't we doing something?"

That question launched what is now a national nonprofit dedicated to providing free emergency and transitional shelter to families, veterans, and first responders who have lost their homes to natural disasters. Our founder Woody Faircloth and his daughter Luna drove an RV to a displaced family by Thanksgiving that year. Nearly 400 deliveries later, we are still showing up.

EmergencyRV fills a critical gap in disaster recovery. When emergency shelters close and FEMA programs expire, when insurance falls short and rebuilding can take years, families are left in an in-between place with nowhere safe and stable to land. That is exactly where we show up. We deliver fully equipped move-in ready RVs at no cost to survivors, veterans, and first responders across the country.

We prioritize veterans and first responders because they are always there for the rest of us. Showing up for them is the least we can do.

We have responded to wildfires in California and Georgia, hurricanes in Florida and North Carolina, tornadoes in Oklahoma and Kansas, and floods in Texas and Washington. We are growing and our vision is to establish a national network of pre-positioned RVs in high-risk disaster states so that no family anywhere in America has to wait for safe shelter after losing their home.
