Frequently Asked Questions

How long does the process take? We work as quickly as possible to match survivors with available RVs. The timeline depends on RV availability and your location but we always prioritize speed because we know your situation is urgent.

Will the RV be donated to me or loaned? It depends on your situation. EmergencyRV operates both a donation program and a loaner program. If you are actively rebuilding your home on your own land we will most likely loan you an RV as transitional housing until your rebuild is complete. In other situations an RV may be donated outright. Our team will discuss which program is the right fit for you during the application process.

Is the RV really free? Yes. EmergencyRV provides RVs at absolutely no cost to survivors. Our work is funded entirely by generous donors and community supporters who believe that no family should face disaster alone.

What if I lost my ID in the disaster? We understand that this happens. Please note it on your intake form and our team will work with you. We do not want paperwork to stand between a family and a safe place to live.

What comes with the RV? Every RV we deliver is fully cleaned, prepped, and stocked with essential household supplies including bedding, kitchen items, towels, hygiene products, and cleaning supplies. When you get the keys it is move-in ready.

Do you deliver the RV to me? Yes. EmergencyRV coordinates the transport and delivery of RVs directly to survivors. You do not need to arrange transportation.

What if I am not a disaster survivor but know someone who is? Please share this page with them and encourage them to apply at emergencyrv.org. You can also share our mission on social media to help us reach more families in need.
